A talented Sous Chef with experience designing and preparing high-end international and world class cuisine. We are looking for a creative individual who is willing to participate in creating seasonal menus and designing new dishes. The successful candidate will assist the Head Chef in both culinary and administrative tasks while communicating with the Dining Team Leader and the Head Chef. We are looking for a professional who is dedicated to food quality and sets high standards for their output.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Create schedules for kitchen staff to ensure optimum resource management and speed of serviceTrain new and existing kitchen staff on the preparation, arrangement and plating of dishes per the current menuEnsure all staff members adhere to culinary standards and regulationsRespond to customer inquiries and concerns personallyDesign new menu choices based on seasonal ingredients and customer demandTrack, record and replenish inventory as neededCross-train kitchen staff on multiple stationsAssist Head Chef with pricing menu itemsMaintain order and discipline in the kitchen during working hours;Research new developments in international cuisine and apply knowledge Education and Experience
5+ years’ culinary experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurantFour-year degree or culinary school completionExperience preparing international cuisineKnowledge of best practices for training kitchen staff and implementing kitchen proceduresHigh level of creativity and reliabilityFlexible schedule requiredFamiliarity with menu costing procedures
